The EECOI is looking for some new blood. As in, new members for its Steering Committee. It’s a chance for individual members of the COI to get in a little deeper and to work on building connections throughout the watershed that will benefit the entire PWI.
The Steering Committee meets once a month for 12 months, and assists the groups that receive funding, tracks progress on the strategies, gives guidance to the EECOI Manager, plans quarterly EECOI meetings to check in with the group, helps draft the Year 3 proposal for funding and other items that encourage the growth and success of the EECOI. (Steering Committee members will receive a $1000 stipend for participation on the committee.)
If you’re interested, or if you know of someone you think would be a good fit, please send your information to email@example.com by midnight, Wednesday, November 25th. There are four open positions and each of the applicants who are elected will serve for three years.
Year 1 was an education for all who were involved. It had its ups and downs, but the COI is much more established now and Year 2 looks to be a fantastic undertaking as well, with more collaborative efforts still to come. To serve in the Steering Committee is to play a part in shaping the future of the COI, and that’s exciting, no matter who you are.
So, get your info in to Carrie: a short bio (about 300 words) and a thorough response to the question of what skills, experience and perspective you would bring to this committee.
