New Steering Committee Members Elected

conferencetableThe four open seats on the EECOI Steering Committee have been filled. The online vote of registered COI members returned one previous committee member for another term and selected three newcomers as well.

Jim Gawel (UWT), has been a part of the Steering Committee since its beginnings and was reelected to a second term. The three new members are Karen Gogins (Citizens for a Healthy Bay), Brice Boland (Surfrider Foundation), and Chris Towe (Pierce Conservation District). All were voted in to serve 3-year terms and will begin next week at the first committee meeting of 2016.

Thanks to outgoing committee members Monty Smith, Loren Willson and Kristin Lynette for the time that they put in and for all they accomplished. Thanks as well to those members who voted, helping to select and seat this year’s Steering Committee. The work continues here in Year 2 and this process has ensured that we have continued to find good people to fill these important positions.
