NGSS in the Field

boy-with-magnifying-glass-29eyjol1A lot of what we’ve been chatting about lately has centered around the Next Generation Science Standards and how they can be integrated into various teaching situations. PEI has facilitated some outstanding training in the past and this next one promises to be more of the same, only different.

Even if you’ve already taken an NGSS workshop, this training is set up to focus on specific practices, techniques and strategies that support NGSS in a field environment. The training is specially designed for informal educators as well as K-12 teachers, centered on how to use the NGSS framework to support science content knowledge. The experience includes hands-on lessons outdoors that are designed to strengthen specific practices, techniques and strategies as well as encourage collaboration with local educators.

It’s all happening on Thursday, January 14th, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM and there is no charge for the program. Spots are limited and registration is happening now
